Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: QB | RB | WR | TE | PK | DT
If you are serious about winning your fantasy league football championship, stay on top of your fantasy football team throughout the year. Each week during the NFL fantasy football season, KFFL brings you its Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, which breaks down players to pick up. Be aggressive when picking up fantasy football free agents. Even if you do not need a player, you can tuck him away for depth or block others from adding him to their fantasy football team. Note: Percentage of polled leagues in which player is available in parentheses Fantasy football free agents: One-week playsThe following fantasy football pickups are for those who need injury or bye week replacements. They are not players you immediately acquire - unless your team is in dire straights. Some have, however, shown some life and should be followed in case they materialize as options beyond their temporary use. Rex Grossman, Washington Redskins (73 percent) Yup, he's here again; Grossman upheld his end of this site's Week 14 bargain by going 19-for-32 with 252 yards, two TD tosses and one interception Sunday against the pass-friendly New England Patriots defense. In two of his previous three games, he compiled at least 292 aerial yards, as well.
He loves having Santana Moss back to pair with fellow vet Jabar Gaffney on the outside. Fred Davis is a hard void to fill, but Donte' Stallworth is at least catching some more passes in his stead. Roy Helu Jr. can catch plenty of dump-offs, as well. The New York Giants, Washington's Week 15 enemy, have been kind to throwers, as well, yielding the second most passing yards (330.0) along with a 63.8 percent completion rate and 3.50 aerial scores to QBs per game over their last four outings. The G-men allowed these figures to Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Tony Romo and ... Vince Young. That last listing gives hope that Grossman can follow suit, especially given Grossman's 305-yard, two-touchdown performance versus the Blue in Week 1. Before signing him, check on the status of Matt Hasselbeck (calf). If Hass can't go for Week 15, Locker would step in. The rookie looked poised and wasn't afraid to challenge downfield. He went 13-for-29 but compiled 282 aerial yards, 36 ground yards on six carries and one touchdown each through the air and with his feet. The mobile slinger would take snaps against the Indianapolis Colts, who've allowed a 75.0 completion percentage to opposing QBs along with 242.7 passing yards, 20.0 rushing yards and 1.67 total scores (0.33 rushing) per game in the last four weeks. Locker could easily scramble for big yardage, especially if Tennessee can contain pass-rushing ends Robert Mathis and Dwight Freeney.
