Your fantasy baseball cheat sheets are no longer of use. It's time to replace your fantasy baseball busts. Key
PitchersJarrod Parker, Arizona Diamondbacks
On Tuesday, the Snakes, who are already headed to the postseason, will give a start against the Los Angeles Dodgers to the player whom Baseball America considered the organization's top prospect heading into the 2011 season. Parker, 22, is capping his first season back from Tommy John surgery undergone approximately two years ago. The right-hander throws a hard, sharp slider, and his fastball in the mid- to upper 90s, with a low-80s changeup that should at some point be considered a quality complement, per BA. This season, at Double-A Mobile, Parker was 11-8 with a 3.79 ERA, a 7.71 K/9 and a 3.79 BB/9 in his 130 2/3 innings. In 69 2/3 frames after the All-Star break, he seemed to have retrieved his high-end command. He posted a 2.84 ERA, a 7.23 K/9 and a 2.84 BB/9 in that stretch. The D-backs probably won't let the phenom pitch too deep into this game, and it's obviously uncertain how he'll handle his first big-league start. There are safer choices available to folks looking for a spot starter, for sure. For dynasty leaguers exposed to Parker for the first time, they should know that he's a must-add, however. And, there may be worse choices for a spot start on Tuesday, too. Shallow mixed: Pass Deep mixed: Consider NL-only: Consider About Nicholas Minnix
