Oakland Raiders FB Marcel Reece (ankle) suffered an ankle injury in Week 3 against the New York Jets. Head coach Hue Jackson said Monday, Sept. 26, that it will take a couple of days to see how Reece responds to treatment.


Wide Receiver

Detroit Lions WR Titus Young, who is tied for third among rookie wide receivers with nine catches this year, will be a big part of the offense moving forward, according to head coach Jim Schwartz. "There's a reason we drafted him so high and had such high expectations," Schwartz said. "He's going to make a lot of plays in this offense. He's a young player and still has a ways to go, but he made some really big-time catches. He's not the biggest guy in the world, but he's got really strong hands, and he's fearless going across the middle."

WR | Mario Manningham | New York Giants | Injury, Fantasy
New York Giants WR Mario Manningham (concussion) said Monday, Sept. 26, that he's passed whatever tests he needs to pass following the concussion he suffered last week and will definitely play in Week 4. The Giants, though, say Manningham still needs to pass the final post-concussion tests and he has not been cleared. Manningham added he's feeling better and expects to practice Wednesday, Sept. 28.

Washington Redskins WR Anthony Armstrong (hamstring) suffered a hamstring strain in the second quarter of the Week 3 game Monday, Sept. 26, against the Dallas Cowboys and he was unable to return. He worked on the exercise bike on the sidelines, but was not dressed and watched the game from the sidelines in the second half.

WR | Braylon Edwards | San Francisco 49ers | Injury
San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh confirmed Monday, Sept. 26, that the team left WR Braylon Edwards (knee) and FB Moran Norris (leg) were left home to rehab their injuries. The team traveled from Cincinnati to Youngstown, Ohio, after their Week 3 game, and will not return to San Francisco before their Week 4 game against the Philadelphia Eagles. It appears Edwards and Norris are likely out for the next game.

Detroit Lions TE Brandon Pettigrew was the solution to a stalled running game in Week 3 against the Minnesota Vikings. "Brandon was probably, the best way to put it is he was our run game," head coach Jim Schwartz said. "What we did starting (in the) second quarter was we were adjusting every series. We started spreading him out a little bit more and they were short, control passes. He had 11 receptions and one was down the seam for a big gain. Most of the other ones were ball-control plays. That was sort of our run game."

TE | Jason Witten | Dallas Cowboys | Injury, Fantasy
Dallas Cowboys TE Jason Witten (ribs) said following the team's Week 3 game that his injured ribs felt fine. "I feel good," Witten said. "A little sore." Late in the second quarter, Witten removed the extra protection he was wearing for his ribs and played without it in the second half when he caught four passes for 53 yards. "It was getting sweaty, so I felt the tape there was kind of wobbly so I took it off," Witten said. "I'll be alright."

St. Louis Rams DL Darell Scott (thumb) suffered a thumb injury in Week 3 against the Baltimore Ravens, and he is scheduled to visit a specialist. FS Darian Stewart (finger) had his finger taped after Week 3 against the Baltimore Ravens, but his injury is not believed to be serious. CB Justin King (stinger) also left the game Sunday, Sept. 25, but his injury is believed to be minor.

DL | Phil Taylor | Cleveland Browns | Injury
Cleveland Browns head coach Pat Shurmur said Monday, Sept. 26, that DL Phil Taylor (knee) is expected to be fine. Originally, it was thought that Taylor suffered a sprained medial collateral ligament.

DL | Osi Umenyiora | New York Giants | Injury
New York Giants DE Osi Umenyiora (knee) did some running Monday, Sept. 26, but head coach Tom Coughlin is not sure if Umenyiora will be able to practice this week.
