Quarterback

QB | Matt Hasselbeck | Free Agent | Free Agents
There is speculation the Seattle Seahawks may not make a contract offer to free-agent QB Matt Hasselbeck (Seahawks).

QB | Vince Young | Tennessee Titans | Fantasy
It doesn't appear Tennessee Titans QB Vince Young, who is likely to be released by the team, would be a good fit for the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins want a veteran quarterback who has the ability to learn quickly and challenge incumbent starting QB Chad Henne for the starting job. Plus, they would like a player capable of being a great leader, which doesn't appear to be Young. If the Dolphins had time to groom Young for the future, he would be considered a good fit. The Dolphins, however, are not in that situation and it's unlikely he would be at the top of their wish list.

QB | Peyton Manning | Indianapolis Colts | Injury, Fantasy
Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay said he believes QB Peyton Manning (neck) will be ready for the start of the regular season.

Running Back

RB | Ahmad Bradshaw | Free Agent | Free Agents
Free-agent RB Ahmad Bradshaw (Giants) made it clear that he wants a starting role wherever he goes. Bradshaw may not receive that opportunity with the New York Giants. "With Brandon (Jacobs, the Giants' other running back), they have him for two more years and they know what to expect from him," Bradshaw said. "But with me, I just want to be a featured back. I feel like I can carry the ball a ton of times a game, and I feel like I can put it on my shoulders."

Wide Receiver

WR | Braylon Edwards | Free Agent | Free Agents
Free-agent WR Braylon Edwards (Jets) pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated Friday, July 22, to resolve a case stemming from a police stop. As part of the agreement with the court, his case will be closed without jail time or probation if he pays a $500 fine. Edwards must continue in an NFL alcohol counseling program that he's been in since November. He also gets a six-month driver's license suspension.

WR | Eddie Royal | Denver Broncos | Injury, Fantasy
Denver Broncos WR Eddie Royal (hip) had hip surgery in February and said he is "ready to go" for the upcoming season after running routes Thursday, July 21. "I will not miss a day of practice," Royal said.

WR | Demaryius Thomas | Denver Broncos | Injury, Fantasy
Denver Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas (Achilles') is expected to miss at least the first half of the season while he recovers from a torn Achilles' tendon.

WR | Steve Breaston | Free Agent | Injury, Free Agents
Free-agent WR Steve Breaston (knee) said that he will be ready for the start of the season after struggling with a knee injury during the 2010 season. He said he would like to re-sign with the Arizona Cardinals but will wait to see what happens.

WR | Sidney Rice | Free Agent | Free Agents
The Seattle Seahawks could pursue free-agent WR Sidney Rice (Vikings) once free agency begins.

WR | Brad Smith | Free Agent | Free Agents
The Chicago Bears could show interest in free-agent WR Brad Smith (Jets) once free agency begins.

Tight End

TE | Zach Miller | Free Agent | Free Agents
With NFL players who have four years or more experience expected to become unrestricted free agents as part of a new labor deal, the Oakland Raiders will have to issue out a big-money contract if they expect to re-sign TE Zach Miller. The Raiders want Miller back in a big way. Miller has led the team in receiving the last three seasons.

Defensive Line

DL | Justin Harrell | Green Bay Packers | Injury
Green Bay Packers DL Justin Harrell (knee) said his rehab from the torn anterior cruciate ligament he suffered during the 2010 season is going well but he will not know about his recovery until he starts running and cutting on a football field.

Linebacker

LB | James Anderson | Free Agent | Free Agents
Free-agent LB James Anderson (Panthers) said he would like re-sign with the Carolina Panthers fairly quickly after the lockout is lifted. Anderson's agent said general manager Marty Hurney indicated that Anderson was a priority.
