Quarterback

QB | Tyler Thigpen | Free Agent | Free Agents
The Miami Dolphins likely will not re-sign impending free-agent QB Tyler Thigpen if he hits the free agent market. The team is not expected to make a hard push to sign him during the time teams can talk with their own free agents.

QB | Kevin Kolb | Philadelphia Eagles | Fantasy
According to a league source, the Philadelphia Eagles will need more than CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie from the Arizona Cardinals if they're going to trade QB Kevin Kolb. The Eagles want a starter in return, and more, possibly a 2012 second- or third-round draft pick. "Arizona would be a great place," Kolb said. "I've envisioned myself there and some other places."

QB | Donovan McNabb | Washington Redskins | Fantasy
The future of Washington Redskins QB Donovan McNabb remains on hold until the NFL lockout is over. While the team would like to trade him, they do not have a lot of leverage and are not likely to receive a significant amount in return. All indications are the Redskins will not give him a second season in their offense and it appears head coach Mike Shanahan's quarterback of choice is John Beck.

QB | Peyton Manning | Indianapolis Colts | Fantasy
New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees and Indianapolis Colts QB Peyton Manning are requesting to be exempt from the franchise tag for the rest of their careers. Manning was tagged by the Colts before the lockout, so he would be requesting to become an unrestricted free agent.

Running Back

RB | Ricky Williams | Free Agent | Free Agents, Fantasy
Free-agent RB Ricky Williams (Dolphins) announced in a YouTube yoga video that he is "preparing to go to a new team and finish my career."

RB | Ronnie Brown | Free Agent | Fantasy
The Miami Dolphins haven't ruled out RB Ronnie Brown as a backup plan, but he said "as much as I would like" to stay, "I've been hearing it's unlikely I'll re-sign with Miami."

RB | Ryan Torain | Washington Redskins | Injury, Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
It appears the Washington Redskins will give RB Ryan Torain the first crack at the starting running back job during training camp. Torain, who has a history of injury problems, needs to prove he can stay healthy in 2011. While the team may pursue a veteran running back, they may opt to give strong consideration to RBs Roy Helu Jr. and Evan Royster, too.

Wide Receiver

WR | Malcolm Kelly | Washington Redskins | Depth Chart Tidbit
Washington Redskins WR Malcolm Kelly may need to have a strong training camp and preseason to make the team this year.

Defensive Line

DL | Mike Neal | Green Bay Packers | Injury
Green Bay Packers DL Mike Neal (shoulder) is still in the process of rehabbing a rotator cuff injury, and he might not be 100 percent until late October. He is in the mix for a starting job along the defensive line if DL Cullen Jenkins departs via free agency. "I probably won't be 100 percent until the same time I had surgery on Oct. 26," Neal said Tuesday, July 19.

DL | Albert Haynesworth | Washington Redskins | Fantasy
The future of Washington Redskins DL Albert Haynesworth remains on hold until the NFL lockout is over. While the team would like to trade him, they do not have a lot of leverage and are not likely to receive a significant amount in return.

Cornerback

CB | Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie | Arizona Cardinals | Fantasy
According to a league source, the Philadelphia Eagles will need more than CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie from the Arizona Cardinals if they're going to trade QB Kevin Kolb. The Eagles want a starter in return, and more, possibly a 2012 second- or third-round draft pick. "Arizona would be a great place," Kolb said. "I've envisioned myself there and some other places."

CB | Antonio Cromartie | Free Agent | Free Agents
New York Jets impending free-agent CB Antonio Cromartie said he doesn't believe in "hometown discounts" and that he will not re-sign with the Jets during the exclusive negotiating period. "I'm not giving anybody a hometown discount," Cromartie said. "I'm definitely going to see what the organization says and also let them know I want to go out and test the market and see where my value is." He has mentioned the Houston Texans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Seattle Seahawks, Arizona Cardinals, Dallas Cowboys and Oakland Raiders as potential suitors. CB Kyle Wilson could become the starter if Cromartie departs.

Strong Safety

SS | Gerald Sensabaugh | Free Agent | Free Agents
Dallas Cowboys impending free-agent SS Gerald Sensabaugh does not sound like he plans to settle with the team if they attempt to re-sign him to a deal. "I'm going to make myself available to all 32 teams, shop myself around and see exactly what happens," Sensabaugh said. "I'm just really excited about my chance to cash in." He still wants to play for a contending team, and the Cowboys may present the best chance.
