Quarterback

QB | Jimmy Clausen | Carolina Panthers | Draft
Although the Carolina Panthers selected QB Cam Newton in the NFL Draft to replace QB Jimmy Clausen as the starter, the team is expected to keep Clausen in the fold. The Panthers need a backup for Newton and it's possible Clausen could be the opening-day starter if Newton is slow to pick up the playbook in training camp. There also are people within the organization who believe Clausen still has a chance to be a good NFL quarterback and was simply put in a bad spot last season. Clausen also really wouldn't have much trade value right now.

QB | Colin Kaepernick | San Francisco 49ers | Injury, Fantasy
San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick (leg) is nearly recovered from a surgical procedure early last month. He has started to drop back from center, which was thought to be one of the final steps in his rehab process. He will take part in a player-organized four-day camp this week.

Miami Dolphins RB Ronnie Brown, who is not expected to return in 2011, wants to go to a team with legitimate championship hopes, and he prefers a warm-weather city. RB | Marion Barber III | Dallas Cowboys | Fantasy
The Dallas Cowboys have not asked RB Marion Barber III to take a pay cut this offseason but there is a possibility the team could ask after the lockout is over.

RB | Peyton Hillis | Cleveland Browns | Fantasy
Cleveland Browns RB Peyton Hillis said he believes that he will be a good fit in the West Coast offense because he is able to catch the ball out of the backfield. "You have to be more versatile to be a running back in the West Coast. Catching the ball out of the backfield is really important and they can also split you out wide a lot more in the slot and stuff like that. So it's all things I believe I can do really well and I feel really comfortable with that," Hillis said.

Wide Receiver

WR | Dez Bryant | Dallas Cowboys | Injury, Fantasy
Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (ankle) played in a charity basketball game Saturday, June 25, in Dallas, and he effortlessly threw down several drunks in pre-game warmups before playing the majority of the 40-minute game. "I'm running routes every day to get ready. It was 104 degrees yesterday and I was running gassers. I feel good and I'm ready to play," Bryant said.

WR | Kevin Jurovich | San Francisco 49ers | Fantasy
San Francisco 49ers WR Kevin Jurovich has been QB Alex Smith's most constant target during player-organized practices during the offseason.

WR | Terrell Owens | Cincinnati Bengals | Injury, Free Agents, Fantasy
Free-agent WR Terrell Owens (Bengals) has undergone surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament in one of his knees following a previously undisclosed injury this offseason, according to a source. Owens had the surgery performed by renowned Dr. James Andrews within the past month. One source said he suffered the injury during a personal workout, while another could not confirm when the injury happened.

WR | Chad Ochocinco | Cincinnati Bengals | Fantasy
The Cincinnati Bengals are keeping their options open in regards to WR Chad Ochocinco. The team could keep him on the roster, look to trade him or release him.

Free Safety

FS | Chad Jones | New York Giants | Injury
New York Giants FS Chad Jones (leg) hopes that by next summer he will at least be training with his teammates, resuming a career that was put on hold following a car accident. He has a metal rod through his shin, with two screws near his ankle and two screws under his kneecap.
