Fantasy NASCAR RacingFantasy NASCAR rankings: STP 400
For the second race in a row, a Penske Racing driver will start on the pole after Kurt Busch grabbed the top spot for Sunday’s race at Kansas Speedway. Busch will now try to continue the success on race day, but success at the 1.5-mile track has been tough to come by for the former series champ. In 10 career starts at Kansas, Busch has yet to record a top-five finish. Busch isn’t the only driver with a suspect record at Kansas that is starting up front. Fellow front row starter Juan Pablo Montoya has three finishes of 20th or worse in four starts at Kansas, and third-place qualifier Kyle Busch has never had a top-five finish at the track. Brian Vickers will start fourth with just one top-10 finish in five starts at the track, and Joey Logano has yet to crack the top 15 in three career starts. With several drivers that traditionally struggle at Kansas starting up front, the action could get heated early on in Sunday’s race. The 400 miles can go by quickly at a track like Kansas that has been known to see some long green flag runs. Drivers starting in the back can’t afford to be patient, but the drivers starting up front won’t be willing to give up track position without a fight. More Articles You Will Like
