What are the odds that you still own the relief pitchers you rostered in your fantasy baseball draft? KFFL.com's Fantasy Baseball Closer Hot Seat series gives you no-nonsense ratings of performances, injuries and managerial decisions in MLB bullpens. Get your arm loose: Let's find fantasy baseball players in your rotisserie or head-to-head baseball league who'll get saves.

Mound meetings

  • Washington Nationals manager Jim Riggleman will still approach save chances on a case-by-case basis. Sean Burnett was unavailable Thursday because he pitched on each of the previous three days. Drew Storen, whose grounder and first-strike percentages have notably improved, continued his strong 2011 with a one-hit, scoreless wrap-up Thursday.
Riggleman's loyalty to Burnett is giving him a stay of execution, but Storen is making a case to wrestle this away as a solo gig eventually.
  • After a rough debut outing last week, Frank Francisco has thrown 3 1/3 shutout innings. The Toronto Blue Jays have eased in Frank Frank while keeping Jon Rauch as the interim stopper, but this is a reminder to check on Francisco's availability in your league; Toronto plans on moving him back into closing when he's ready. Judging by his recent returns, that day could come soon.
