What are the odds that you still own the relief pitchers you rostered in your fantasy baseball draft? KFFL.com's Fantasy Baseball Closer Hot Seat series gives you no-nonsense ratings of performances, injuries and managerial decisions in MLB bullpens. Get your arm loose: Let's find fantasy baseball players in your rotisserie or head-to-head baseball league who'll get saves.

Mound meetings

  • Kevin Gregg's two closing appearances this season: saved by a jaw-dropping catch in right field in the first week, and blown on his first pitch during his Thursday gaffe. The Baltimore Orioles' skipper hasn't officially labeled Gregg the closer, but he has been the only option used in such situations this year.
Koji Uehara's fragile packaging limits his potential to steal the job at the moment, but the control freak remains a prime target for future closures.
  • Is the Colorado Rockies' success hurting Huston Street? Given his lengthy injury history, many might say Street's Thursday scuffle, in which he had to be replaced by Matt Lindstrom in a save chance, is a sign he's already suffering from fatigue, having pitched four out of five days.
There isn't a real reason to be concerned yet, because it's still early and Street's offseason conditioning improvements have probably given Colorado more confidence in his durability. It doesn't hurt, however, to keep an eye on how the Rox handle Street in the near future or if the frequent appearances start to wear on his performance.
