Toronto Blue Jays 3B Edwin Encarnacion worked with hitting coach Dwayne Murphy Friday, March 11, prior to an exhibition game against the New York Yankees, according to's Gregor Chisholm. An adjustment was made to his lower his left-leg kick, which had caused him to go off balance in the batter's box. The change also allows Encarnacion to start his swing sooner and avoid lunging towards the pitcher's mound. Over the next two games, Encarnacion went 4-for-8 with a double and a home run. "I think you're seeing the timing really being established," manager John Farrell said. "It was good to see him carry it over from one day to the next. I think he showed us the power he really has in there. It's good to see him put together four or five at-bats in a row where he's on time, and I know he's feeling much better about himself and how he's swinging the bat."

"He doesn't feel good about where it's at."

I can't put the ball where I want it."
