The New York Giants are unlikely to let pending free-agent RB Ahmad Bradshaw hit the open market, according to Matt Mosley, of The team has informed Bradshaw that re-signing him will be a big offseason priority. Bradshaw has a chance to be the Giants' feature back for the next four or five seasons.

RB | Frank Gore | San Francisco 49ers | Injury
San Francisco 49ers RB Frank Gore (hip) is completely healed from a season-ending fracture of his right hip he sustained Nov. 29, according to Matt Maiocco, of Gore's rehab has consisted of pool workouts, along with upper- and lower-body weight work. He said the team's medical staff has taken a cautious approach, clearing him to begin running Feb. 28. "I will be better," Gore said. "I will take it one day at a time. I'm just happy to say that my injury healed perfectly. And right now I'm trying to get some strength, and in another week start running."

Washington Redskins WR Brandon Banks (abdomen, lung) suffered a collapsed lung during his recent stabbing outside a nightclub, reports The Associated Press. Banks' agent said Wednesday, Feb. 16, that the knife nicked the left lung of his client, and efforts to inflate the lung have delayed his departure from the hospital. "He still has a chest tube inserted and it will remain until the wound heals and the lung remains inflated," his agent said. "We are hopeful that the tube will be removed Friday."

TE | Brandon Manumaleuna | Chicago Bears | Injury
Chicago Bears TE Brandon Manumaleuna (knee) will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right knee soon, according to a source, reports Brad Biggs, of the Chicago Tribune. The procedure is considered minor and it's basically a clean-out. Manumaleuna is expected to be ready well in advance of training camp.

Jenkins has been recovering and rehabbing for weeks. Now, he has begun the process of reconditioning and rebuilding his body to be ready when training camp begins.

The Minnesota Vikings are expected to place their franchise tag on impending free-agent LB Chad Greenway, reports Sid Hartman, of the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

CB | Nnamdi Asomugha | Oakland Raiders | Free Agents
The Oakland Raiders will have an even more difficult time re-signing pending free-agent CB Nnamdi Asomugha after the team re-signed DL Richard Seymour, according to Jerry McDonald, of ANG Newspapers. Although Asomugha will not receive the $17 million or more his original deal would have brought in Oakland, he remains a good bet to exceed the $11.5 million figure paid to New York Jets CB Darrelle Revis this year and young enough to get a long-term deal with a big signing bonus. The Raiders just issued $30 million over two seasons, with $22.5 million guaranteed to Seymour. Managing general partner Al Davis has said he would like to re-sign Asomugha, but only if the price is right.

The New York Jets have not definitively decided to cut ties with pending free-agent CB Antonio Cromartie, although he is not the team's top priority to sign, according to team sources, reports Mark Cannizzaro, of the New York Post.

New England Patriots CB Devin McCourty (rib) suffered a fractured rib in Week 14 but was able to play with the injury for the rest of the season and into the postseason, reports's Jeff Howe.
