Chicago Bears QB Todd Collins (shoulder) suffered a shoulder injury in the NFC Championship Game against the Green Bay Packers in the third quarter, reports Albert Breer, of NFL Network. Collins will have an MRI Tuesday, Jan. 25, and he might require surgery. There is some speculation that the 16-year career of Collins might be over as a result of the injury.

Updating a previous report, Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler (knee) suffered a Grade II medial collateral ligament tear to his left knee in the NFC Championship Game loss against the Green Bay Packers, reports Vaughn McClure and Deborah Shelton, of the Chicago Tribune. Typically the injury takes three to four weeks to heal. "Jay didn't take himself out of the game," head coach Lovie Smith said. "He wanted to go back in. He was injured and went back in the second half. I see it the complete opposite of how it's been portrayed right now."

The New York Jets' two biggest offseason priorities will be re-signing pending free-agent LB David Harris and CB Antonio Cromartie, according to Manish Mehta, of the New York Daily News. Harris will likely command in excess of $10 million a year, but he is the top priority on defense. Cromartie was arguably the team's best defensive player during the first half of the season, and the Jets gave up a second-round draft pick to obtain him. In addition, the prospect of starting CB Kyle Wilson, who struggled mightily during his rookie season, as the No. 2 corner across from CB Darrelle Revis next year only heightens Cromartie's value.
