Updating a previous report, the Colorado Rockies avoided arbitration with RP Matt Lindstrom Monday, Jan. 17, by agreeing to a two-year, $6.6 million deal, according to The Denver Post's Troy E. Renck. The deal also includes an option for the 2013 season. Lindstrom will earn $2.8 million this year, $3.6 million in 2012, with the option being worth $4 million with a $200,000 buyout. He has $1 million in escalators in both years of the deal for games finished. The incentives start at 40 games and finish with 60 games.
