KFFL delivers the fantasy baseball spin on each Major League Baseball Hot Stove deal that matters in your fantasy baseball league. Check back for frequent updates to the Fantasy Baseball Hot Stove! OutfieldersJeremy Hermida, Cincinnati Reds (signed)
Hermida, 27 this month, becomes what Laynce Nix was for most of the past two years: an injury-prone left-handed corner outfielder who's a likely candidate to platoon with Jonny Gomes. Hermida has less power but a little more speed and BA ability than Nix. Great American Ball Park may have a say about the power, but Hermida is unlikely to be much more than a reserve pick in NLs. PitchersChris Capuano, New York Mets (signed) This southpaw will be a full three years removed from Tommy John surgery come opening day. For a couple of years with the Milwaukee Brewers, he posted 7.00-plus K/9 and an ERA in the low to mid-4.00s. Forgotten. He was quite effective on the farm and then back up with the big club last season, but Capuano, 32, wanted to sign where he'd get a shot to start. He could be worth a flier in very deep leagues.
