Fantasy football busts: QB | RB | WR | TE | PK | DT

In this article KFFL breaks down fantasy football busts of the week. Some high-level players will be included, because you need to know when is time to sit a player even though it may not seem appropriate. Primarily, however, we will address the midrange to low-end fantasy options that you rack your brain over each week. Read on to learn which of these players that you wouldn't want in your lineup.

Note: All statistical averages are from Week 13 to Week 16, unless otherwise specified.

Fantasy football busts: Defensive teams

Baltimore Ravens vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Don't expect much in Week 17

Fantasy value: Bench

• The Ravens have been a solid fantasy D in recent weeks, recording 2.00 sacks, 1.75 interceptions and 0.25 fumble recoveries per game in facing the Pittsburgh Steelers, Houston Texans, New Orleans Saints and Cleveland Browns.
• Is Cincy a better team without Terrell Owens (knee) and Chad Ochocinco (ankle)? It's possible. In the last four weeks, the Bengals have allowed only 1.50 sacks, 0.75 interceptions and 0.25 fumble recoveries per game. They've played the New Orleans Saints, Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns and San Diego Chargers - some aggressive defenses in there. They weren't sacked or picked off against the Bolts, the league's top-ranked defense, last week. B'more also sacked Carson Palmer just once in their Week 2 loss to Cincy.

New Orleans Saints vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Fantasy value: Bench

• The Who Dats have recorded 2.50 sacks, 0.50 interceptions and 0.75 fumble recoveries per game, along with giving up 20.3 points pre game - mediocre numbers for a typically aggressive defense that has faced the Cincinnati Bengals, St. Louis Rams, Baltimore Ravens and Atlanta Falcons.
• Tampa Bay has been surprisingly secure with the football, being sacked just 1.75 times per game and throwing only one interception in the last month. Josh Freeman, in fact, has only been sacked 1.80 times and picked off 0.40 times per game on the year, both averages ranking near the bottom of the league. Even in NO's Week 6 shellacking of a less refined Bucs club, Freeman was only sacked once.
