Some high-level players will be included, because you need to know when is time to sit a player even though it may not seem appropriate. Primarily, however, we will address the midrange to low-end fantasy options that you rack your brain over each week. Read on to learn which of these players that you wouldn't want in your lineup.

Note: All statistical averages are from Week 13 to Week 16, unless otherwise specified.

Fantasy football busts: Running backs

Matt Forte, Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers

Matt Forte, RB, Chicago Bears
Stay away from Forte

Fantasy value: High-end No. 2

  • Forte stampeded over a typically capable New York Jets run D in Week 16, compiling 113 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries, along with four catches for 56 yards. He has run for at least 92 yards in each of his last two games.
  • While Forte is a must-start in most formats, especially PPR, he isn't a safe bet to repeat his Week 16 stats. The Pack has allowed just 88.3 ground yards and 0.33 offensive scores per game to carriers. Even worse for Forte, Green Bay has allowed just 2.00 catches and 12.7 receiving yards per game to running backs.
  • Forte mustered 29 yards on 11 carries against Green Bay in Week 3 and averaged just 2.86 yards per tote against them in two 2009 meetings.

Brandon Jackson, Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears

Fantasy value: Midrange No. 3

  • Jackson has been utilized a combined 44 times in the past two weeks. James Starks who? Jackson fits the best with Green Bay's pass-first offense and is seeing the majority work right now.
  • How will that fare against the Bears, who shut down reception-first backs, like Danny Woodhead (New England Patriots), Jahvid Best (Detroit Lions) and LaDainian Tomlinson (New York Jets) in recent weeks. Chicago has allowed 102.3 rushing yards and 3.00 receptions to this position per game but has kept running backs out of the end zone.
  • In his Week 3 Chicago fling, Jackson totaled just 12 yards on seven carries and 27 yards on four catches.
