QB | Colt McCoy | Cleveland Browns | Injury
Cleveland Browns QB Colt McCoy (ankle) is optimistic he will be ready to play in Week 15, according to Mary Kay Cabot, of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. If he is, there's a good chance head coach Eric Mangini will give him the starting nod. "I'm going to see where we're at on Wednesday and kind of go from there," Mangini said. "He was able to get to where he could function as the third (in Buffalo), so we've got to see where that is and think about it and we'll go from there."

QB | Tarvaris Jackson | Minnesota Vikings | Injury, Fantasy

Minnesota Vikings QB Brett Favre (shoulder) was inactive for Monday's Week 14 game against the New York Giants, ending his consecutive starts streak at 297 games, reports Judd Zulgad, of the Minneapolis Star Tribune. The streak began on Sept. 27, 1992, when Favre took over for former Green Bay Packers QB Don Majkowski. He also sees his games played streak end at 299 games. Favre never even came out for pre-game warmups to test his injury at Ford Field.

San Francisco 49ers RB Brian Westbrook had 87 receiving yards in Week 14 against the Seattle Seahawks, while WR Josh Morgan posted 82 yards and TE Vernon Davis chipped in with 70 receiving yards, reports Eric Branch, of the Santa Rosa Press Democrat. It is the first time three San Francisco teammates posted 70 or more receiving yards since Sept. 9, 2001, when WRs Terrell Owens, J.J. Stokes and Tai Streets accomplished the feat.

WR | Lee Evans | Buffalo Bills | Injury
Buffalo Bills WR Lee Evans' (ankle) season is in doubt after suffering an ankle injury in Week 14, according to Jay Skurski, of The Buffalo News. Evans has been ruled out for at least the next two games, head coach Chan Gailey said. "I know it's going to be two (weeks) and it may even be a struggle for him to get back for the last one," Gailey said. "They (team trainers) are going to continue to give us updates on a daily basis, but it really doesn't look good right now. I hate it for him and I hate it for us." Gailey said Evans' ankle was not broken. Asked whether it was a high ankle sprain, the coach responded, "Something like that. They (trainers) told me it was like that. To what extent, I don't know."

St. Louis Rams WR Danario Alexander was used sparingly in Week 14 against the New Orleans Saints, posting no receptions with just one target, reports Kathleen Nelson, of The St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Head coach Steve Spagnuolo said Monday, Dec. 13, that the lack of targets was due to the flow of the game and not due to health reasons. "There were a couple of shots in there that were supposed to go to him," Spagnuolo said. "I know one specifically we got sacked on."

Oakland Raiders head coach Tom Cable said Monday, Dec. 13, the team continues to investigate the exact nature of LB Rolando McClain's (foot) foot injury, according to Jerry McDonald, of ANG Newspapers. McClain has been described as having both arthritis and tendinitis in the foot. He did not play in Week 14. "Today his rehab stuff was really pretty good, but he still has an issue with it, and we're going to continue to research it and figure out exactly what's going on here," Cable said. Detroit Lions LB Landon Johnson (neck) could play in Week 15 even though he was carried off on a stretcher in Week 14, reports MLive.com's Tom Kowalski. Johnson lost some strength in his arm after a collision in the game but there was no concussion or any other injury.


Cornerback

CB | Devin McCourty | New England Patriots | Injury
New England Patriots CB Devin McCourty (rib), who exited the team's Week 14 game early with a rib injury, has not suffered a major injury, according to Ian R. Rapoport, of the Boston Herald. While it's possible McCourty sits out the team's Week 15 game, his ailment does not appear serious. McCourty had an MRI Monday, Dec. 13. Head coach Bill Belichick offered no hint of McCourty's status. "Well, we can give the same answer that we usually give on Monday," Belichick said, "which is, 'We'll see (tomorrow).'" If McCourty can't go, CB Darius Butler is expected to take his place in the starting lineup.

CB | William James | San Francisco 49ers | Injury
San Francisco 49ers CB William James (concussion) might be able to return in Week 15 against the San Diego Chargers Thursday, Dec. 16, reports Eric Branch, of the Santa Rosa Press Democrat. James has missed four straight games since being injured Nov. 14 against the St. Louis Rams.
