Fantasy baseball waivers and the acquisition of fantasy baseball free agents can make or break your season. Your fantasy baseball cheat sheets won't help you after spring training. If your team remains the same after opening day, you will have trouble competing in your rotisserie baseball league. Do you need to replace your fantasy baseball busts? Which fantasy baseball players can you ignore? KFFL.com's Fantasy Baseball Diamond Market gives you fantasy baseball tips and insight to sort through the masses quickly. Key
OutfieldersJarrod Dyson, OF, Kansas City Royals Baseball America considered Dyson, 26, the possessor of the best speed in the Royals' farm system entering this season. His defensive range in center field has made him some fans on the coaching staff and the pitching staff. He was a 50th-round pick, barely registered on the prospect radar and barely noticed in fantasy leagues. He's just ... overlooked. Perhaps it's easy to do with the 5-foot-9, 160-pounder, but let's not fail to notice his accomplishments any longer: He hit .299 and stole 24 bases in 294 combined at-bats at four different minor league stops. He compiled a lifetime .278 average in the minors prior to that. Dyson possesses virtually no power (despite his one homer in a Royals uni) and has just 10 hits in his first 46 major league at-bats. But he has swiped seven bases already and seems to be the kind of player that endears himself to his teammates and manager because of what he brings to the table. He doesn't walk a lot, but he's not averse, and he has a solid BA profile. Sneaky theft or two this weekend? Someone to keep in mind for 2011?
