Fantasy Baseball Diamond Market - NL

Fantasy baseball waivers and the acquisition of fantasy baseball free agents can make or break your season. Your fantasy baseball cheat sheets won't help you after spring training. If your team remains the same after opening day, you will have trouble competing in your rotisserie baseball league.

Do you need to replace your fantasy baseball busts? Which fantasy baseball players can you ignore? KFFL.com's Fantasy Baseball Diamond Market gives you fantasy baseball tips and insight to sort through the masses quickly.

Middle infielders

Scott Sizemore, 2B, Detroit Tigers

Detroit Tigers 2B Scott Sizemore
Another chance for Sizemore

Remember him? Sizemore was a favorite sleeper of many entering 2010 but disappointed in a big way. He batted .206 before his first demotion in mid-May and accomplished little in his week-long call-up in July.

Skipper Jim Leyland is pretty sure that the reason is because Sizemore hadn't completely recovered from the broken ankle he sustained in the Arizona Fall League. The bone was healed, but he didn't have the strength.

Sizemore may have to battle Will Rhymes, an overachieving 27-year-old with some speed, for PT for the final couple of weeks. But the Tigers have a chance to give their much better choice for a starting keystone man some serious big league at-bats down the stretch.

Sizemore was 2-for-2 with an RBI and a run on Tuesday, in his first start since July. Thanks to a steady batting average around .300 and a solid walk rate, he gets on base often. He displayed developing power - 15-, maybe even 20-homer, potential - and can swipe double-digit bases easily, now that he's back to normal. You're looking at a prime under-the-radar target in 2011.
