In this article KFFL breaks down fantasy football busts of the week. Some high-level players will be included, because you need to know when is time to sit a player even though it may not seem appropriate. Primarily, however, we will address the midrange to low-end fantasy options that you rack your brain over each week. Read on to learn which of these players that you wouldn't want in your lineup.

Fantasy football busts: Place kickers

Matt Bryant, Atlanta Falcons vs. Arizona Cardinals

Fantasy value: Midrange No. 1

  • The Falcons kicker netted three of four three-point attempts in Week 1 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, the Falcons had trouble moving the ball overall in their first week - their offense still has some issues, especially in the passing game.
  • The Cards were lucky enough to face the St. Louis Rams last week, but Arizona was one of the worst kicking matchups for fantasy boots in 2009 (5.9 kicking points allowed per game, which ranked them among the five best defenses in limiting kickers).
  • Bryant, who has now missed a field goal try in each of his last four regular season games, had accuracy issues in the preseason, too. It's hard to bank every week on someone with shaky field goal accuracy whose team might not even give him many extra point tries.
