Fantasy baseball waivers and the acquisition of fantasy baseball free agents can make or break your season. Your fantasy baseball cheat sheets won't help you after spring training. If your team remains the same after opening day, you will have trouble competing in your rotisserie baseball league.

Do you need to replace your fantasy baseball busts? Which fantasy baseball players can you ignore? KFFL.com's Fantasy Baseball Diamond Market gives you fantasy baseball tips and insight to sort through the masses quickly.

New York Yankees SP Andy Pettitte
Yanks, roto owners get shot in arm

Forget about him? Most have been hanging on to Pettitte (groin) since his last start, which came in his first after the All-Star break. The southpaw is 11-2 with a 2.88 ERA, a 1.20 WHIP and a 7.00 K/9 in 115 2/3 innings this season. He has finished his rehab stint. His next scheduled start: Sunday, versus the Baltimore Orioles.

Pettitte has been extraordinary this year, but he has also been well above-average in BABIP against him and strand rate. That, coupled with the likelihood that the Yanks may not let him go too deep before the postseason begins, gives him a limited ceiling.

Still, the Yankees have a division to win, and Pettitte is known for his big-game prowess. This late in the race, a pickup like one of the Bombers' top starters could be a difference maker.
