Wide Receiver

WR | Vincent Jackson | San Diego Chargers | Free Agents, Fantasy
The Seattle Seahawks continued to talk with unsigned restricted free-agent WR Vincent Jackson, of the San Diego Chargers, Saturday, Sept. 4, reports Kevin Acee, of The San Diego Union-Tribune. However, Jackson's price was too high and nothing was able to happen.

WR | T.J. Houshmandzadeh | Free Agent | Free Agents, Fantasy
Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis thinks the team's current core of wide receivers may not be a good fit for free-agent WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh (Seahawks), reports Joe Reedy, of The Cincinnati Enquirer. "If our team were constituted differently this would be a great spot for him to be back at. But right now where we are I don't know if it would be good for him," Lewis said. Lewis spoke with Houshmandzadeh via text message Saturday, Sept. 4, and said he has fielded calls from other teams about his former receiver. "I had people call and contact me as far as T.J. and I gave him a true, honest appraisal and a very honest one. T.J. helped us get where we are today. He's a good, young pro and a good man and he did a lot of good leading in this building," Lewis added.

WR | Sidney Rice | Minnesota Vikings | Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
The Minnesota Vikings may be on the look out for additional help at wide receiver, reports The Associated Press. With WR Sidney Rice (hip) out at least the first six weeks of the regular season, the Vikings currently have four wide receivers - Percy Harvin, Bernard Berrian, Greg Camarillo and Greg Lewis - on roster.

WR | Lee Evans | Buffalo Bills | Depth Chart Tidbit
The Buffalo Bills decided to go with the youth movement at the wide receiver position, reports The Associated Press. The team held onto undrafted rookie free agents WRs David Nelson and Donald Jones to serve as their depth players. The Bills only have two receivers on roster - Lee Evans and Roscoe Parrish - who have 13 or more career receptions.

WR | Sammie Stroughter | Tampa Bay Buccaneers | Depth Chart Tidbit
Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Sammie Stroughter is expected to start at flanker, opposite rookie Mike Williams, reports Stephen Holder, of The St. Petersburg Times.

WR | Steve Johnson | Buffalo Bills | Depth Chart Tidbit
Buffalo Bills WR Steve Johnson and WR Roscoe Parrish are the team's starting receivers along with WR Lee Evans, reports Chris Brown, of BuffaloBills.com.

WR | Patrick Crayton | San Diego Chargers | Fantasy
Newly added San Diego Chargers WR Patrick Crayton ran routes with QB Philip Rivers Saturday, Sept. 4, reports Christopher Smith, of Chargers.com. Head coach Norv Turner said most people think of Crayton as an inside receiver, but noted that Crayton does "awfully well on the outside." He added that Crayton is also strong after the catch.

Tight End

TE | Anthony Fasano | Miami Dolphins | Depth Chart Tidbit
The Miami Dolphins release of TE David Martin was a surprising one, reports Mike Berardino, of The South Florida Sun-Sentinel. The team doesn't have proven depth behind starting TE Anthony Fasano and Martin seemed safe entering the cut. The team may look to add another tight end.

Defensive Line

DL | Albert Haynesworth | Washington Redskins | Depth Chart Tidbit
Washington Redskins DL Albert Haynesworth may not be a starter for Week 1, reports Jason Reid, of The Washington Post. Haynesworth had a disappointing performance during the team's preseason finale, and often failed to adhere to the principles of a 3-4 scheme. During practice Saturday, Sept. 4, the team had him move back to nose tackle instead of playing at end where he had recently. He was also removed from the team's nickel package. Head coach Mike Shanahan has lost his patience with the continued drama.

Linebacker

LB | Sergio Kindle | Baltimore Ravens | Injury
Baltimore Ravens OLB Sergio Kindle (head) is traveling to Texas to have his head injury taken a look at by neurologists, reports Aaron Wilson, of The NationalFootballPost.com.

LB | Jonathan Vilma | New Orleans Saints | Injury
New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton is encouraged with the progress MLB Jonathan Vilma (groin) is making from a groin injury, reports Sheldon Mickles, of The Advocate. However, Payton wouldn't speculate on Vilma's chances of playing during Week 1.

Cornerback

CB | Dre' Bly | Free Agent | Free Agents
The Detroit Lions may eventually re-sign CB Dre' Bly, reports Tom Kowalski, of MLive.com. However, it probably wouldn't happen for a couple of weeks so they can see how their young defensive backs pan out.

Free Safety

FS | Louis Delmas | Detroit Lions | Injury
Detroit Lions S Louis Delmas (groin) saw very little time during training camp and his groin injury remains a huge concern entering the 2010 season, reports Tom Kowalski, of MLive.com. The status of S C.C. Brown (forearm) entering Week 1 is also unknown after he missed the team's last two preseason games.
