Fantasy baseball waivers and the acquisition of fantasy baseball free agents can make or break your season. Your fantasy baseball cheat sheets won't help you after spring training. If your team remains the same after opening day, you will have trouble competing in your rotisserie baseball league. Do you need to replace your fantasy baseball busts? Which fantasy baseball players can you ignore? KFFL.com's Fantasy Baseball Diamond Market gives you fantasy baseball tips and insight to sort through the masses quickly. Key
OutfieldersManny Ramirez, OF, Chicago White Sox
It's official: The ChiSox receive Man-Ram for nothing. However, you shouldn't allow your AL-only league mates do the same. As KFFL noted on Friday, Ramirez still has plenty to offer, so long as he's able to play. Shallow mixed: Acquire Deep mixed: Acquire AL-only: Acquire PitchersFernando Rodney, RP, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim The Angels surprised the masses when they dealt Brian Fuentes to the Minnesota Twins. If no one in your league has realized that Rodney is the Halos' new closer, you aren't too late. Expect the right-hander to receive the large majority of save chances for the rest of the year. He has performed better in those situations versus non-save opps. Kevin Jepsen and prospect Jordan Walden, among others, could factor in if Rodney slips up, but they represent long shots. Shallow mixed: Acquire Deep mixed: Acquire AL-only: Acquire Koji Uehara, RP, Baltimore Orioles The O's don't have a closer, but they let Uehara close games pretty often when the club has a chance to nail one down. The right-hander doesn't have stereotypical closer stuff, but he generates K's and rarely issues walks. He has been outstanding in the bullpen and pretty much all year (1.91 ERA, 1.13 WHIP in 28 1/3 innings), when available. The O's have others (Mike Gonzalez, Alfredo Simon) in the mix for saves, potentially, but Uehara is unlikely to hurt you.
