Fantasy baseball waivers and the acquisition of fantasy baseball free agents can make or break your season. Your fantasy baseball cheat sheets won't help you after spring training. If your team remains the same after opening day, you will have trouble competing in your rotisserie baseball league.

Do you need to replace your fantasy baseball busts? Which fantasy baseball players can you ignore? KFFL.com's Fantasy Baseball Diamond Market gives you fantasy baseball tips and insight to sort through the masses quickly.

Pitchers

Derek Holland, SP, Texas Rangers

Texas Rangers SP Derek Holland
Holland coming up

Texas will recall Holland in time to have him start on Wednesday at the Tampa Bay Rays. Rich Harden (shoulder) is once again on the DL. Holland has great stuff and could be a factor down the stretch.

The southpaw has been up and down in his four outings with Triple-A Oklahoma City since he was placed on the DL with a shoulder injury. However, he has posted a 1.91 ERA there this year. He put up a 7.45 K/9 and 2.79 BB/9 in his five games (four starts) with Texas earlier this season.

Holland may not do much better than his 4.19 ERA and 1.29 WHIP from earlier this year. But he has the upside to do so and is worth seeing if he can.

AL-only: Acquire

Brad Bergesen, SP, Baltimore Orioles

Bergesen has reportedly made strides in the improvement of his sinker, the key to his success. The results bear it out: He has allowed a combined four earned runs in his last three starts, including a complete game against the Cleveland Indians on Wednesday. There aren't many teams better to test the Bergesen Hypothesis against than the Seattle Mariners, tonight.

AL-only: Acquire

Mitch Talbot, SP, Cleveland Indians

The Tribe activated Talbot (back) from the DL on Saturday. He assumed his spot in the rotation and yielded six runs (four earned) in four innings to the hot Orioles.

Talbot, despite that blistering, sports a 4.25 ERA this year. But his WHIP suggests a pitcher teetering on the edge of high risk. He's fairly hittable, and his K/BB tells the tale of a pitcher with little room for error. At your own risk.

Deep mixed: Pass

AL-only: Consider
