Fantasy baseball waivers and the acquisition of fantasy baseball free agents can make or break your season. Your fantasy baseball cheat sheets won't help you after spring training. If your team remains the same after opening day, you will have trouble competing in your rotisserie baseball league.

Do you need to replace your fantasy baseball busts? Which fantasy baseball players can you ignore? KFFL.com's Fantasy Baseball Diamond Market gives you fantasy baseball tips and insight to sort through the masses quickly.

Catchers

J.P. Arencibia, C, Toronto Blue Jays

Toronto Blue Jays C J.P. Arencibia
This J.P. a solid deep investment

The Jays placed John Buck on the disabled list because he suffered a serious cut on his finger. He shouldn't be out for too long, but it was an opportunity to get a look at Arencibia's bat now that he has experienced a revelation of sorts.

Arencibia was considered one of the top catching prospects in baseball, but a disappointing 2009 in his first year at Triple-A doused some of the flame. This year, for the Las Vegas 51s, he's hitting .303 with 31 homers and 79 RBIs. He's slugging .639 and showing marked improvement in his approach.

This stint may not last for long, but if Arencibia, 24, continues his smashing ways, what will Toronto do? He has had a little trouble adjusting to new levels, but this kind of potential production from a catcher is worth a shot in many formats - especially if you lost Buck.

Corner infielders

Carlos Delgado, 1B, free agent

A few teams have been sniffing around Delgado, and he has received at least two minor league offers already. He'd need an estimated two weeks to prepare, in the minors, after he signs before he'd feel comfortable hitting in the bigs. Seemingly most interested suitor so far: the Chicago White Sox.

There's no telling what to expect from the 38-year-old, whose hip condition has required surgery twice. But, we know what he has done: .271-38-115 as recently as 2008. If your league-only setup allows you to pick up free agents before they have signed, he joins a club from the other circuit and you can continue to receive his stats, you luck out a little, too.
