Travis Snider, OF, Toronto Blue Jays

Too talented to wait on

The Jays wanted to wait until they could clear a roster spot for him; they'll call up Snider on Friday. He won't play every day, at least initially. Jose Bautista, Fred Lewis and Edwin Encarnacion are all variables in this equation. If Toronto deals Bautista (unlikely, but possible), bets are off.

Snider hit the DL in mid-May with a sprained wrist. He wasn't cleared to hit for a month or so, and wrist issues concern fantasy owners because they can negate a hitter's power.

A week ago, Snider slugged a homer in three consecutive games, and he drilled another last night. That doesn't mean he's out of the woods, but it sounds like he's recovering nicely. He was on a tear before the injury. The chance is worth a roster spot.
