Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said he was impressed with QB Matt Hasselbeck this offseason, according to NFL.com. Carroll was particularly impressed with Hasselbeck's conditioning and command of the offense.

QB | Jeff Garcia | Free Agent | Free Agents
Free-agent QB Jeff Garcia (Eagles) continues to work out in hopes of landing with a team, according to Brad Biggs, of NationalFootballPost.com. However, Garcia is not interested in joining the UFL, according to a league source.

QB | Brett Favre | Minnesota Vikings | Injury
Minnesota Vikings QB Brett Favre (ankle) said his ankle is not responding the way he thought it would, reports USAToday.com's Jon Saraceno. Favre said, "After almost nine weeks, it's not where I would like it to be, but I'm working at it. Maybe it never gets to where I want it to be. 40 years old…three surgeries…that's all you need to know."

The New York Jets will sign unrestricted free-agent QB Mark Brunell (Saints) as soon as Thursday, July 22, reports ESPNNewYork.com's Rich Cimini.

Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis said he does not believe that RB Cedric Benson will be suspended for his arrest this offseason, according to Joe Reedy, of The Cincinnati Enquirer. "I don't know why we we're even talking about Cedric being suspended a game. I don't even know why we're bringing it up. To me it's unbelievable. It wouldn't be brought up in 31 other cities in the country I think," Lewis said.


Wide Receiver

OG | Reggie Stephens | Cincinnati Bengals | Transaction
The Cincinnati Bengals have signed seventh-round draft choice OG Reggie Stephens to a four-year deal, reports Aaron Wilson, of NationalFootballPost.com. Stephens will receive a base salary of $320,000 in 2010, $405,000 in 2011, $490,000 in 2012 and $575,000 in 2013, a slotted signing bonus as well as a fourth-year escalator clause that can significantly boost the maximum value of the deal.


Defensive Line

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed second-round draft choice DT Brian Price to a four-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have agreed to terms with third-round draft choice DT D'Anthony Smith on a four-year deal worth $2.64 million, a source told Aaron Wilson, of NationalFootballPost.com. The deal includes an $850,000 signing bonus.
