Fantasy Football Busts and Overvalued PicksFantasy football busts: Place kickers
By Bryce McRae and Tim Heaney KFFL.com's analysis of fantasy football busts for the 2010 season will be updated weekly throughout the offseason. We have separated our busts and overvalued players this year, so be sure not to confuse the two. Busts are also overvalued players in some cases. Even the most surefire pick can end up busting due to injury, but there is no way to accurately project for that. Instead, we will primarily focus on the players' situations that could lead to down years. No one likes doing the dirty work, so let KFFL.com do it for you! Be sure to check for weekly updates. Note: All average draft position (ADP) figures are based on 12-team, non-PPR leagues unless specified otherwise. Place kickersSebastian Janikowski | Oakland Raiders | ADP: 17th round The oversized booter is wildly inconsistent. Oakland doesn't score enough touchdowns (17 last year) to put Janikowski on the fantasy map. The addition of quarterback Jason Campbell should improve the offense considerably, but we're not ready to go as far as saying it will enough to make Seabass relevant to fantasy owners. Janikowski's field goal accuracy rates negate any improvement by the offense. During the past six seasons, his numbers have looked like this, respectively: 89.3 percent, 66.7 percent, 72.0 percent, 71.9 percent, 80.0 percent, 89.7 percent. Just when he looked good in 2003 (88.0 percent) and 2004, the Florida State veteran took an epic tumble into the 60s. Fantasy value: His average draft placement of the 17th round is unacceptable. He shoudl be left for the waiver wire until the Raiders' offense shows it can successfully move the ball. Also See:
