Fantasy Baseball Closer Hot Seat: AL | NLFantasy baseball closer depth charts: AL | NLIn fantasy baseball, the closer position remains volatile. Rarely does every closer hang on to the job for an entire season - injuries, poor performance and managerial decisions can cloud a team's bullpen picture. Should you be concerned about a struggling stopper? Which relievers are climbing the depth chart? Are any injuries popping up? KFFL.com's Fantasy Baseball Closer Hot Seat keeps you informed when you're looking for saves. Key
Toronto Blue JaysCloser: Kevin Gregg Understudy: Jason Frasor Lurkers: Scott Downs Gregg blew his second save of the season yesterday. He managed only one out in the ninth; he surrendered three hits and walked two. Control was again the issue. He isn't throwing strikes. Only 12 of Gregg's 25 pitches were strikes yesterday; the day before, it was just 13 of 25.
We mentioned before that Frasor would be a proactive pickup. Gregg hasn't had many clean saves lately. Frasor, on the other hand, has allowed just one run this month (1.08 ERA); he has seven K's to only one walk. His May WHIP is 0.84. Add him in deep mixed and AL-only, if available. Gregg probably built himself a sizable leash with his 12 saves, but it can't hurt to be proactive.
