QB | J.P. Losman | Seattle Seahawks | Transaction, Free Agents
Updating a previous item, the Seattle Seahawks have signed free-agent QB J.P. Losman (Raiders) to a one-year, $630,000 contract, a source confirmed to ESPN.com's John Clayton.

QB | Donovan McNabb | Washington Redskins | Fantasy
Washington Redskins QB Donovan McNabb would like to end his career with the team, reports Dan Steinberg, of The Washington Post. McNabb said, "I look forward to being able to extend my contract and hopefully end my career here. And at this particular point, obviously there's some writing in the contract of when you'd be able to do that, but things will happen. Things will happen. And we will take our steps when the time comes and be able to handle that situation."

QB | Daunte Culpepper | Free Agent | Free Agents
Free-agent QB Daunte Culpepper (Lions) is close to signing with the Sacramento Mountain Lions of the UFL, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The deal will make Culpepper one of the marquee names in the league.

Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler said he and offensive coordinator Mike Martz are on the same page, and he is optimistic that he will rebound from his poor 2009 season, according to ESPNChicago.com's Michael Wright. "I had some issues with a timing offense. I think we both felt really comfortable with each other. I think we're definitely on the same page on everything," Cutler said. He said he is also spending "at least a couple of hours" a day in Martz's office watching film and learning the offense.

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said QB Matt Hasselbeck will be the team's starting quarterback, barring injury, according to CBSSports.com. "I'm really pleased with Matt being the quarterback right now and being in the lead position," Carroll said. "I have been from the start. I've never wavered on that."

Tennessee Titans DE Derrick Morgan (hamstring) sat out the team's first minicamp practice Tuesday, May 18, after tweaking his hamstring running sprints Monday, May 17, reports The Associated Press. Head coach Jeff Fisher said, "He is just a little tight. It is a precautionary thing. We are just going to watch him. A significant injury right now could result in a huge setback, so we are just going to watch him."


Linebacker

LB | D'Qwell Jackson | Cleveland Browns | Free Agents
Cleveland Browns restricted free-agent LB D'Qwell Jackson said that he will sit out the team's mandatory minicamp in June and is uncertain about training camp as he looks for a long-term deal, according to Mary Kay Cabot, of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Jackson's agent, Brian Mackler, said Jackson will not sign his one-year tender until at least the deadline on June 15, meaning he'll sit out the full-squad minicamp. Jackson and his agent said they were promised a long-term extension by the previous regime last year. Mackler said Jackson has not asked to be traded, however.

Arizona Cardinals LB Gerald Hayes (back) missed the team's practice Tuesday, May 18, because he continues to be troubled by back problems, reports Kent Somers, of The Arizona Republic. He is expected to attend later in the week, but he will likely be limited.

Free-agent CB Shawn Springs (Patriots) revealed that he had arthroscopic knee surgery shortly after the team's playoff loss to the Baltimore Ravens, according to the Boston Globe. However, Springs added that his recent release was not due to the injury. He has had some swelling in the knee but said he was prepared to participate in the Patriots' upcoming passing camp. "It's not a knee issue," Springs said.

Sensabaugh said, "Just with the uncertainty of the CBA (collective bargaining agreement), it might be kind of hard to structure deals right now. I don't know. They don't know exactly if there's going to be a salary cap, no salary cap, how it's going to work. With that uncertainty, it makes it harder. I don't know. We'll see how everything goes."
