Quarterback

QB | Michael Vick | Philadelphia Eagles | Free Agents

The Eagles are likely to part ways with QB Michael Vick before Garcia comes back.

QB | Charlie Whitehurst | Seattle Seahawks | Depth Chart Tidbit, Fantasy
Seattle Seahawks QB Charlie Whitehurst is expected to push QB Matt Hasselbeck for the starting quarterback duties, writes Steve Kelley, of The Seattle Times. New Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll plans to open up all of the starting positions for competition. "That's just a mind-set that we've had for years," Carroll said of putting spots up for grabs. "We're starting brand new and everybody's a rookie, in a sense."

Running Back

RB | Jahvid Best | NFL Draft Prospect | Draft
Matthew Barrows, of the Sacramento Bee, reports it is doubtful the San Francisco 49ers will select California RB Jahvid Best in the NFL Draft. Best would be an excellent complement at running back, and he would be a shot of adrenaline to the return game. However, given his injury history, the No. 17 pick is too early for Best to be selected and he likely will not be available when the 49ers select again at No. 49 overall.

RB | Toby Gerhart | NFL Draft Prospect | Draft
Matthew Barrows, of the Sacramento Bee, reports it is doubtful the San Francisco 49ers will select Stanford RB Toby Gerhart in the NFL Draft.

WR | Laveranues Coles | Free Agent | Free Agents
Rich Cimini, of the New York Daily News, reports the New York Jets' acquisition of WR Santonio Holmes from the Pittsburgh Steelers all but eliminates the possibility of the team signing free-agent WR Laveranues Coles (Bengals). With Holmes, WRs Jerricho Cotchery and Braylon Edwards, the Jets have three starting-caliber receivers. WR Brad Smith, who recently signed his one-year tender as a restricted free agent, will be the No. 4 receiver.

WR | Brandon Marshall | Denver Broncos | Free Agents
Bill Williamson, of ESPN.com, reports the trade of WR Santonio Holmes from the Pittsburgh Steelers to the New York Jets for a fifth-round draft pick could have an impact on Denver Broncos restricted free-agent WR Brandon Marshall. The Broncos want a first-round pick for Marshall. So far, no team has been willing to give up a top pick for Marshall and time is running out.

WR | Miles Austin | Dallas Cowboys | Free Agents
The Dallas Morning News reports Dallas Cowboys restricted free-agent WR Miles Austin is not participating in the team's offseason program. Austin is working out on his own in Los Angeles. "Oh, Miles will be back, don't worry, he'll be back and around. He's just getting things done, the business side of things that happens once and while," QB Tony Romo said. "But I talked to Miles the other day, he'll be on a bike. He's a good kid, he's going to work hard and he'll be ready to go when the time comes. He does a lot of good things, and he knows what it takes to play at a high level, year in and year out."

WR | Dez Bryant | NFL Draft Prospect | Draft
Peter King, of SI.com, reports the Cleveland Browns were scheduled to host Oklahoma State WR Dez Bryant; however, a team source said Bryant is no longer on their NFL Draft list and he will not visit.

WR | Percy Harvin | Minnesota Vikings | Fantasy
Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin looks bigger and in tremendous shape, according to Chip Scoggins, of The Minneapolis Star Tribune. Harvin said he weighs 207 pounds now, but ideally will play around 200 pounds during the upcoming season. "I wanted to be stronger. I know I'll probably lose some so I'll probably play at 202, 200. That will be good for me," Harvin said. He noted his body feels fresh compared to last year at this time and he knows everything now, so entering his second year will be smooth. He does not know if he'll join the team for their voluntary workouts Monday, April 12, but said he talked to his coach and will go to Minnesota to work out a little bit. In regards to his migraine problems, Harvin said he still suffers from them at different times. "It's off and on," he noted. "Still working them out. Hopefully we'll keep working at it... it's just something that hopefully I can contain."

Tight End

TE | Greg Olsen | Chicago Bears | Fantasy

The Detroit Lions seem to be pondering between Nebraska DT Ndamukong Suh and Oklahoma State OT Russell Okung with the No. 2 pick, according to The National Football Post's Michael Lombardi. DL | Jared DeVries | Detroit Lions | Transaction, Free Agents
John Niyo, of The Detroit News, reports the Detroit Lions will re-sign free-agent DE Jared DeVries to a one-year, $1.7 million contract. He is expected to sign the contract Monday, April 12.

DL | Jason Taylor | Miami Dolphins | Free Agents
Free-agent OLB Jason Taylor (Dolphins) has not made a decision on whether or not to join the New York Jets, according to Jane McManus, of ESPNNewYork.com. Taylor's agent, Gary Wichard, said a decision won't be made until mid-week, at the earliest. Wichard said it isn't about the contract, it is about whether Taylor wants to move his family to New York and play. He added a contract has not been discussed.

Defensive Tackle
