In this article KFFL breaks down the fantasy football sleepers of the week. We will avoid marquee names because players of that caliber are rarely benched, regardless of their matchup. Instead, we will focus on the players that make your fantasy lineup decisions stressful each week. Read on to learn which midrange to low-end players you wouldn't necessarily consider that you need to get into your lineup.

Fantasy football sleepers: Tight ends

Bo Scaife, Tennessee Titans at Seattle Seahawks

Fantasy value: Midrange No. 1

    Bo Scaife, TE, Tennessee Titans
Scaife a decent play this week
  • Scaife was shut out of the stat and target sheets in Week 16 after recording at least four catches in his previous five games, and at least six targets in four of those five.
  • It's hard to move away from Scaife even after his donut performance. The Seahawks have allowed 5.25 catches, 83.5 yards and 0.25 touchdowns per game to this position. His consistent body of targets should not be disregarded after one game.
  • We can expect the Titans to feed running back Chris Johnson to push him toward 2,000 ground yards, but Scaife could feed off any play action that stems from this fear from the sieve-like defense.
Will Heller, Detroit Lions vs. Chicago Bears

Fantasy value: Flex or bench

  • Heller has been targeted at least five times in three of the Lions' last five games and has taken over as the starting tight end after Brandon Pettigrew (knee) went down for the year after Week 12.
  • 'Da Bears have been dat terrible against this position, coughing up 5.50 catches, 57.8 yards and 0.75 touchdowns per game to this group.
  • Even back when Pettigrew was healthy, Heller had his best game of the year in Week 4, with three catches 53 yards and a touchdown against these Bears, who have had trouble controlling the position all year.
