Nick Eatman, of DallasCowboys.com, reports the Dallas Cowboys addition of RB Chauncey Washington has nothing to do with the injury to RB Marion Barber III (quadriceps). The Cowboys have been interested in Washington for several weeks and put in a waiver claim on him but had a higher priority to claim SS Marvin White. It does not appear the team will add Washington to the active roster even if Barber misses Week 3.

Kevin Acee, of the San Diego Union-Tribune, reports San Diego Chargers head coach Norv Turner is hopeful RB LaDainian Tomlinson (ankle) can play in Week 3. However, Turner added the team will prepare to play without him.
