Free agents to pick up in your fantasy football leagueIf you are serious about winning your fantasy league football championship, it is important to stay on top of your fantasy football team throughout the course of the year. Each week during the NFL fantasy football season, KFFL brings you its Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, which breaks down players to pick up in your league. Not being aggressive in picking up fantasy football free agents is not a wise move. Sometimes, even if you do not need the player for your starting lineup, it is wise to tuck the player away for depth as well as to block others from adding the player to their fantasy football team. Fantasy football free agents: Priority additionsThe following players should be high on your radar and are worthy of being added immediately to your fantasy football team. Holding the Kansas City Chiefs' shaky offense to just 10 points isn't that much of an accomplishment. However, it was the second straight week they've turned in a solid fantasy showing. Oakland's two offseason additions - defensive end Greg Ellis and defensive tackle Richard Seymour - have made immediate impacts. The Raiders are tied for ninth in sacks per game (2.5), and they're tied for fifth in interceptions per game (1.5). They still need to tighten up the run defense, but as Seymour becomes more acclimated, it should help. Oakland's D is available in around 86 percent of leagues polled. Fantasy football free agents: Look to acquireNEW - Cincinnati Bengals Maybe we should reword this as defensive end Antwan Odom? Cincy leads all teams with nine sacks in the first two contests, mainly thanks to 7.0 by Odom after having faced the Denver Broncos and Green Bay Packers. This defense looks much improved, though, especially at linebacker. This week they match up with the Pittsburgh Steelers, another sack-friendly team. Consider them if you're playing matchups; they have more potential than merely being a plug-in for this week. They're out there almost everywhere. Fantasy football free agents: One-week playsNEW - New Orleans Saints N'awlins faces off with the Buffalo Bills, who with a battered O-line have allowed three sacks and 1.50 turnovers per contest so far. The Saints need all the help they can get with sacks - they've recorded only one - but they've induced 2.0 takeaways per game. Big games against the Detroit Lions and a Donovan McNabb-less Philadelphia Eagles helped skew these numbers a bit. However, the Saints' potent offense may leave the Bills playing catch-up a bunch, which may lead to turnovers. New Orleans remains a deep option if you need to play matchups; you can find them on about 79 percent of league waiver wires surveyed.
