In this article KFFL breaks down the fantasy football sleepers of the week. We will avoid marquee names because players of that caliber are rarely benched, regardless of their matchup. Instead, we will focus on the players that make your fantasy lineup decisions stressful each week. Read on to learn which midrange to low-end players that you wouldn't necessarily consider that you need to get into your lineup.

Shaun Hill, San Francisco 49ers at Arizona Cardinals

Shaun Hill
Don't sleep on Hill

Fantasy value: Weak No. 1

  • The accurate passer hasn't looked great this preseason. Against the Dallas Cowboys in the third preseason game, Hill completed just nine of 17 passes for 79 yards. He failed to throw a touchdown pass during the preseason, though he didn't turn it over, either.
  • It's about the matchup with Hill, though. They might be last year's numbers ... BUT Arizona gave up the most passing touchdowns (2.25) and 12th most yards (232.5) per game to this position.
  • Arizona hasn't done much to improve their defense this offseason. In fact, they lost lineman Antonio D. Smith, which could give Hill more time to throw. They're also undergoing a change atop the defensive hierarchy; though Clancy Pendergast never really succeeded, a shift to Bill Davis doesn't mean it'll be a huge improvement.
  • In his one start against Arizona last year, Hill completed 19 of 40 passes for 217 yards and two touchdowns.

I love the Packers defense this year. Dom Capers was crap as a head coach, but he is a proven defensive coordinator who will turn the Packers into a top 5 Fantasy Defense. Mark my words.

Improved pass rush + linebacker depth + all-pro cornerback duo = turnover ratios that will give this defense some big games!

The Packers will be lost running the new 3-4 D under regular season intensity and against a Bears offense with plenty of good weapons. Mark my words: Bears win at Lambeau Sunday Night!
