L.J. Smith | Baltimore Ravens | 6-foot-3, 245 pounds | 7th year
Pros: A talented pass catcher, Smith is looking to become a factor in the Ravens' passing game. Quarterback Joe Flacco will likely check down a lot to the Rutgers University product, and it never hurts your chances of increased playing time when Todd Heap (back) sits ahead of you on the depth chart. Cons: Smith averaged a career-low 8.1 yards per reception last year with the Philadelphia Eagles. Heap remains a factor and the starter, so Smith's touches should be limited. The Ravens boast a run-first system, too. Oh, let's not forget Smith's recent penchant for injury, having missed nine games in the past two years. Fantasy tip: Smith has mild upside but isn't draft-worthy in standard formats. He would make for a quality waiver wire pickup if he gains the starting job. About KFFL Staff
