Pros: In his first year as a starter, Boss scored a respectable six touchdowns. The Giants lost their top two receivers from 2008 (Plaxico Burress, Amani Toomer), so Boss' chances should increase in 2009. He logged the third-most targets (21) in the red zone amongst his tight end peers.

Cons: Boss isn't overly athletic and didn't catch a lot of passes last year (33). The Giants are a run-first offense, so his chances are naturally limited. Boss ranked 24th in the league in overall utilizations for tight ends.

Fantasy tip: An improvement in production is expected, but we aren't optimistic he will be able to grow by leaps and bounds. Boss is a top backup choice for fantasy leaguers, and he makes for a decent flex option in two-tight end formats.
