Pros: Wide receiver Steve Smith provides Delhomme one of the best targets in the game to throw to. With little behind him on roster and the signing of a multiyear extension this offseason, Delhomme's job is safe. Carolina's offensive line is stout, and Delhomme was sacked just 20 times last year.

Cons: A successful return to the field in 2008 from Tommy John elbow surgery didn't translate to statistical production for the veteran. The Panthers feature a two-headed, run-first attack, which limits Delhomme's opportunities. Other than Smith and vet Muhsin Muhammad, which other wideout will make an impact?

Fantasy tip: At 34 years old, there is no upside with Delhomme. He is, at best, a last-resort No. 2 fantasy football quarterback if you have an elite starter. You are best to avoid drafting Delhomme altogether.
