Pros: The 32-year-old veteran passer has shown capable of performing at a high level before. In 2006, Bulger threw 4,301 yards and 24 touchdown passes with just eight picks. The Rams upgraded their offensive line this season at center (Jason Brown) and, theoretically, at tackle (Jason Smith). Featuring a power-running attack, the Rams won't need to rely heavily on Bulger, which should help alleviate some of the pressure he has faced in recent seasons.

Cons: Bulger (finger) suffered a fractured pinkie finger but has returned and should be ready for Week 1. Since 2006, the West Virginia product has thrown for 5,112 yards, 22 touchdowns and 28 interceptions in 27 games. Bulger has been a tackling dummy for opponents for much of his career - 240 sacks in 87 career games played, or 2.8 per contest. He has started a full season's worth of games just once (2006). The Rams have little in the way of reliable targets in the passing game.

Fantasy tip: Fantasy owners should look in another direction when it comes to a backup fantasy passer. There is little to no reason to draft Bulger, but he says he feels better in this offense than he has in recent systems. Keep an eye on him during the preseason and early regular season; the talent is there, but he has been rattled so much this may be the end of the line for Bulger.
